PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Gotfryd Group Environmental Scientist
1982 to present

  • Environmental impact assessment - over 100 clients, including government agencies, businesses and individuals.
  • Evaluated impacts on terrestrial ecosystems, terrain stability, soil factors, hydrology, toxicology, distribution and abundance of organisms, and public health.
    Expert testimony, briefings to Cabinet Ministers, mass media reports.

Over 100 articles, books, and reports on matters of science and/or faith. Articles about or by me have appeared in the Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, Toronto Life, Jewish Press, Canadian Jewish News, among others.

  • Courses and programs for Public Libraries, Private Schools, Public School Boards, Collegiates, University of Toronto, Jewish outreach organizations.
  • Developed the first and largest remedial education department within Toronto’s Jewish Day Schools.
  • Founded and directed Toronto’s Jewish Discovery Center, a free community service, teaching hundreds of adults introductory Hebrew and Judaic subjects.

Director, Caring Homes for Orphan Children        1993 to present
Facilitated the adoption of 200 Russian orphans by Canadian families throughout Canada.
