Russian Version

Exodus Magazine was launched to rave reviews in 2002 by the Jewish Russian Community Centre of Toronto. Seeing a lack in the popular media for something that reflected the values and ideas of traditional Judaism, Rabbi Yoseph Y. Zaltzman, the senior rabbi and founder of the JRCC, and Rabbi Levi Jacobson, the director of programs, recruited Izzy Greenberg to be the editor of a new publication that would take Judaism and Jewish life seriously. Under the vision and guidance of the Rebbe, the three of them created what has become one of the best Jewish publications currently in circulation.

The Russian Edition of Exodus was founded by Rabbi Zaltzman upon his arrival to Toronto in 1983, and has been a popular fixture in Toronto’s Jewish Russian community for over twenty years. The Exodus Russian Edition has been blessed with several talented editors over the years:

1983 - 1984 Oleg Zhits
1984 - 1991 Dan Lipnitzky, obm
1991 - 1992 Marsha Gershtein
1993 - 2001 Sonya Krutinsky
2001 - 2002 Susanna Zadov.

The current editor is Ella Vorovitch.
